Private John Borland: A Special WWII Commemorative Film

This is the true story of Private John Borland of the 51st Highland Regiment in World War II — a powerful account of courage and unwavering faith in the midst of unimaginable darkness. Created and released to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day, this short film honours the legacy of those who served and the hope that sustained them. In partnership with Hope Together, this film was produced by Lumo Project Films and Bible Media Group to inspire a new generation with the enduring power of faith, especially in times of trial. Together, we aim to share stories that reveal the hope found in Jesus — even in the darkest moments of history. This story is 100% true. However, please note that the images used to depict the story in this film may contain some historical inaccuracies.
