Welcome!
Attending a church service for the first time can be a daunting experience, and some may be unfamiliar with the kind of formal worship which has characterised much of the church for centuries. Our variety of worship services aim to provide for both those who are familiar with the traditional format and others who are more comfortable with a less formal approach.
Sundays
8:15am - Holy Communion - quiet, traditional, said service at the start of the day.
9.30am - Holy Communion - sung worship, liturgy, hymns and sermon.
11am - Contemporary Worship - with families and children.
Special Services:
REMEMBERING LOVED ONES - usually November on or close to All Souls Day
Loss touches and affects all of us at some time in our lives. Every year the church holds a service of remembrance and thanksgiving for all who have been bereaved. It is a sensitive, quiet and reflective time for all who identify with loss.
REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY - usually the 2nd Sunday in November
Remembering those who have sacrificed their lives in World Wars 1 & 2 and to give thanks and pray for all who serve in our armed forces today. Beginning at the War Memorial in Bedford Road and continuing along the High Street to St. Swithuns Church for a service at 11.30am.
